As a California Native I have grown up surfing with the dolphins. I have heard stories of dolphins protecting surfers and boats from shark attacks. It is with great sadness that I recently saw the appalling inhumanities taking place in Taiji, a remote whaling town in southeast Japan. Accompanied by some of Americas's most extraordinary individuals, Ric O'Barry recently made a film entitled "The Cove." His documentary focuses on this whaling village and their catastrophic effects on oceanic mammals. Please educate yourself on this subject if it resonates in your own heart.
